What is a push in sports betting? A tie. The result lands exactly on the spread/total number. In plain terms: Nobody wins, nobody loses. You get your money back. Not every market can push — half-point lines, like minus 7.5, remove the tie. “They like to say a push is as good as a win, but this ain't soccer. I should have bought the hook — oh well, at least I get my money back.” Let's use this example. Kansas City minus 7 wins by exactly 7. Under standard straight-spread rules, the result is a push and the stake is returned. Parlay and nonstandard market treatment follows the applicable house rules. Lines move and books differ. Nothing here is a guarantee or a command to bet — it's how the number works.
A tie. The result lands exactly on the spread/total number.
