What is the run line in baseball betting? Baseball's version of the point spread, usually -1.5 / +1.5. In plain terms: baseball's spread is almost always a fixed one and a half runs — the favorite gives them, the underdog gets them. The price does the heavy lifting. “Take the run line if you think they win big.” Let's use this example. The favorite is minus one sixty on the moneyline but minus one and a half runs at plus one twenty on the run line. Win by two or more and the run line pays plus money. Win by exactly one, and the moneyline cashes while the run line loses. Lines and prices can differ by sportsbook. Nothing here guarantees a result or tells you to bet. Lines move and books differ. Nothing here is a guarantee or a command to bet — it's how the number works.
