What is a round robin in sports betting? A round robin automatically builds every parlay combination of a selected size from your picks. “I wonder if that sharp throws in his weekly round robin to look like your average Joe.” Let's use this example. Four picks—A, B, C, and D—start the example. Each combination card has a separate illustrative one-hundred-dollar stake. Four picks create six unique two-leg parlay cards: A B, A C, A D, B C, B D, and C D. At one hundred dollars per card, by twos has six hundred dollars in total stake and maximum loss. The same four picks create four unique three-leg cards: A B C, A B D, A C D, and B C D. At one hundred dollars per card, by threes has four hundred dollars in total stake and maximum loss. There is one four-team card, A B C D, with a one-hundred-dollar stake. Selecting every size from two through four makes eleven cards: six plus four plus one. At one hundred dollars per card, that is one thousand one hundred dollars in total stake and maximum loss. Selecting only by twos and by threes makes ten cards and one thousand dollars; the eleventh card is the separate four-team parlay. If A loses while B, C, and D win, seven cards containing A lose, but B C, B D, C D, and B C D can still win. One lost pick does not erase every combination. The $100 stakes are illustrative. Card payouts and settlement follow the accepted odds and house rules. No maximum win can be calculated without accepted odds. A round robin raises total exposure and does not guarantee profit. Lines move and books differ. Nothing here is a guarantee or a command to bet — it's how the number works.
