A person who brings bad luck. Nobody wants to bet with a mush. In plain terms: a mush is walking bad luck. Tell him your pick and the pick dies; bring him to the window and the window goes cold. First cousin of the cooler. “Don't tell him the pick — he's a mush.” Let's use this example. The name comes straight out of A Bronx Tale: Eddie Mush was the neighborhood gambler who lost every bet he ever touched — so when he touched yours, it was done.
